UPDATED 5/13: Here are the local restaurants open and serving takeout or delivery

One lesson that has been brought home by the COVID-19 crisis is that Olympia loves its restaurants. And with the governor’s stay-at-home order taking its toll on businesses far and wide, lots of local readers want to step up and help.

And eat good food that they don’t have to cook themselves. That too.

So here is a list of the local restaurants The Olympian is aware of that are offering grab-and-go or delivery meals during this unusual time.

Anthony’s Hearthfire Grill: The fine dining establishment is reopening for takeout beginning May 6. Hours are 3 to 8 pm Wednesday through Sunday. Located at 1675 Marine Drive NE, Olympia. Anthony’s HomePort Olympia: The downtown restaurant at 704 Columbia St. NW is offering a to-go menu with curbside pickup. It is open noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Asahi Sushi: This downtown Olympia restaurant is open for takeout at 106 Legion Way SE. Phone ahead at 360-705-8000.

Aya Sushi: This west Olympia eatery is taking full menu to-go orders for pick-up. Open 11 am to 8:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. Located at 1540 Cooper Point Rd SW. Phone in your order at 360-628-8944.

Basilico Ristorante Italiano: The downtown Olympia restaurant is taking to-go orders from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Blue Heron Bakery: The west Olympia bakery is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. daily and offers grab-and-go soup, sandwiches and coffee as well as baked goods. The shop at 4419 Harrison Ave. Suite 108, Olympia, is also selling flour, milk and eggs. Advance orders are appreciated, and parking lot pickup is available. Brewery City Pizza: All three locations remain open for take out and delivery. Order online or call Tumwater at 360-754-6767; west Olympia at 360-754-7800; or Lacey at 360-491-6630.

The Brick on Trosper: It’s open from 10 am to 8 pm and has curbside pickup and take-and-bake pizzas to go. Call 360-753-6626 or use online ordering to place your order. The Brick is at 707 Trosper Road SW, Tumwater.

Budd Bay Cafe: Serving a limited menu, with curbside pickup available. 360-357-6963. Menu is at http://s1o.co/fa9c34 Located at 525 Columbia St NW, Olympia.

Buzz’s Bar & Grill: Open for take out with new menu items each day posted on Facebook. Take out beer and shots as well. Located at 5018 Mud Bay Road NW. Call ahead at 360-866-8335.

Casa Mia: Limited hours of noon to 7 p.m., and downtown Olympia restaurant will be closed Sundays. Curbside pickup available. Uber eats expected to be online soon. Cascadia Grill: Offering take-out from noon to 8 p.m. daily. Regular menu available. Pick it up at no extra charge, or use Door Dash Delivery. They’ve also just opened Juju’s next door, offering ice cream and frozen custard from noon to 8 p.m. Fridays through Sundays, takeout only. 360-628-8731. Located at 200 Fourth Ave W, Olympia.

Character’s Corner: This neighborhood tavern at the Steamboat Island exit is serving takeout from noon to 8 p.m. Daily specials. Located at 6620 Sexton Drive NW. Phone in orders at 360-866-9904.

Chelsea Farms Oyster Bar: The restaurant has reopened to offer takeout from 1-7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Their to-go menu features a variety of bottles of wine and “cocktail kits.” Feed the whole family with a meal kit, including slow-roasted pork shoulder with dijon mashed potatoes, house pickles, corn muffins, and wild onion butter. You can also purchase manila clams by the pound or oysters by the dozen. Chuck E. Cheese: Open for carry out and delivery. Current carry out special is $4.99 for a large pizza or an order of bone-in or boneless wings, while supplies last. Dancing Goats Coffee Bar: The coffee shop at 516 Capital Way, Olympia, across from the Farmers Market, is providing grab-n-go and curbside coffee and food from 8 am to 4 pm daily. 360-786-6717; www.batdorfcoffee.com

Dirty Dave’s Pizza Parlor: This longtime favorite reopened May 1 and is serving a limited menu of takeout during limited hours. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 9 p.m. Sundays. Dockside Bistro & Wine Bar: Offering a menu of casual cuisine for takeout and delivery. Hours are 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays. Eagan’s: The drive-thru is open, offering Big Tom’s and Goop, plus you can get delivery through ubereats, Postmates and Grubhub. Located at 6400 Capitol Blvd SE, Tumwater.

El Sarape Cantina in Tumwater: The Mexican restaurant is open for take out or delivery through Grubhub from 3 to 8 pm seven days a week at 5409 Capital Blvd SW, Tumwater. Phone ahead at 360-956-9506.

Elyse’s Catering and Events: Homestyle meals for pickup or delivery. The caterer also is setting up a special Pop Up Grocery Shop this weekend for Mother’s Day in collaboration with Sysco Foods, offering staple pantry items, restaurant quality meats, seafood, dairy and dry goods as well as in-demand cleaning and disinfecting supplies. Emperor’s Palace: The Chinese restaurant, which has locations in west Olympia and in the Lacey area, is doing deliveries, to-go service and curbside pickup of its full menu, as well as beer, wine and individual bottles of hard liquor. Far East: The eatery at 218 Fourth Ave. W., which serves Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese dishes, is offering its full menu for take-out orders from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and noon to 7 p.m. Saturday. Order at 360-786-0333.

5th on 4th Sandwich Shop: Drive-thru is open noon to 6 p.m. weekdays with regular menu options. Located at 926 Fourth Ave E, Olympia; phone is 360-943-9106.

Freshii West Olympia: The healthy, fast, casual restaurant is taking to-go orders and deliveries through UberEats, GrubHub and soon DoorDash, curbside delivery and pick-up through our Freshii App, and phone orders 360-350-6538. Freshii is at 1200 Cooper Point Road SW and open 11:00-7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Fuji Japanese Restaurant: Open for takeout at 123 East Bay Drive NE, Olympia. 360-352-0306

The Gyro Spot: The downtown Olympia Mediterranean takeout joint has made some improvements to better protect customers and employees and is now open 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Phone in your order at 360-352-5251, pay by phone and pick up your order at their new double-sided window, or use the intercom to order when you get to the eatery at 317 Fourth Ave. E. Hannah’s Bar & Grille: In addition to serving to-go food, you can also choose from their beer fridge which also has red and white wine bottles available for purchase. Jean-Pierre’s Three16: The Tumwater fine dining establishment is offering takeout with a weekly curb-side pickup menu. Text your order to 360-704-9232. Include your name, date and time you will pickup. When you arrive, send a text and they will deliver to your car. Prefer Apple Pay, Venmo or cash, but will take credit cards if needed. Pickup begins at 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday, with last order going out at 7 pm weekdays and 8 pm on weekends All wines available at 15% off. Lasagnas and Mac & Cheese are limited daily.

Jim Bob’s Chuck Wagon: Takeout is available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at both its locations, at 4011 Pacific Ave SE, Lacey, 360-491-5090, and at 35119 WA-507, McKenna, 360-458-5050. Lucky Lunchbox: The sandwich shop is offering free delivery and free kids’ meals with the purchase of a sandwich or main-dish salad. McDonald’s: McDonald’s is now offering families a free Happy Meal for their kids. When customers purchase a Combo Meal through the McDonald’s app, their kids will eat for free through May 31. Offer good at Western Washington McDonald’s restaurants via drive-thru and Mobile-Order-Pay.

Meconi’s: All four locations of this Italian sub shop are now open for pick-up orders or delivery through Door Dash. All call-in orders must be pre-paid via debit or credit card prior to pickup. Mekong Restaurant: This Thai restaurant at 125 Columbia St. NW, Olympia, is serving takeout. Phone in orders at 360-352-9620.

MiSo: Hawks Prairie and Lacey Boulevard locations are open 11:30-8 p.m. daily. The Hawks Prairie location has a drive-thru and the Lacey store is offering curbside pickup. (The Capital Mall location is temporarily closed.) Place online orders at http://www.misofitfastfresh.com/ and also find MiSo on UberEats for delivery. They also offer free in-house delivery on “Family Pack” orders for household meals. MiSo also is providing cutomer-donated MiSo entrees to local hospitals, medical centers and police/fire departments. Mud Bay Coffee: The drive-thru is open at 1600 Cooper Point Rd SW, Olympia, for coffee drinks, tea, sandwiches, Main Street Cookies, and pastries.

New Happy Teriyaki & Pho: The Target Plaza eatery is serving to-go from 11 am to 8:30 pm Monday through Saturday and noon to 7:30 pm Sunday. Call 360-786-8866 to order. Located at 2915 Harrison Ave NW, Olympia. They also work with delivery services Uber Eats, Grubhub, Doordash, and Postmates.

New Moon Cooperative Cafe: After initially shutting down, the tiny downtown Olympia cafe will be open 8 am to 2 pm Saturdays and Sundays for pick-up service only. Call in your order at 360-357-3452. Find the menu at https://www.newmooncafe.coop/menu. The cafe is at 114 Fourth Ave W, Olympia.

Niko Teriyaki: This family-owned restaurant is still open for business, offering takeout and delivery. Call ahead at 360-943-1421. Located at 125 Tumwater Blvd. SE, Tumwater.

Octapas: Open 3-8 p.m. with a pick-up menu at https://octapascafe.com/. Offering family dinners for four and carry-out wine. Contact them via 360-878-9333 or info@octapascafe.com.

Old School Pizzeria: The pizzeria has converted its front door into a pickup window. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 Fridays and Saturdays. Limited pizza-by-the-slice menu, but full pizzas ordered ahead are from regular menu. No delivery. 360-786-9640.

Olympia Oyster House: Open for curbside pickup from 11 am to 7 pm daily at its Percival Landing location, 320 Fourth Ave. W., Olympia. Find the limited menu on its Facebook page, then order ahead at 360-753-7000.

Pellegrino’s: The Tumwater Italian restaurant is offering a full lunch and dinner menu (but no breakfast) for to-go or curbside pickup orders. Pizza Time Olympia: It’s open 11 am to 10 pm Monday through Thursday, 11 am to 11 pm Friday and Saturday, and 11 am to 9 pm Sunday, offering delivery or carry out. Pizza by the slice also offered. Pizzeria La Gitana: Locations in downtown Olympia and Yelm are offering their full menus for to-go and curbside business. South Bay Dickerson’s BBQ: It is up and running for curbside pickup 4 to 7 pm Wednesday through Saturday. Call 360-943-6900 or message them on Facebook. They suggest you place your order ahead of time due to the difficulty of getting product right now. They also are selling kegs, growlers, and spirits to go. Orders over $125 may be eligible for delivery. The barbecue joint is at 619 Legion Way SE, Olympia.

Steamboat Grill & Greens: This burger joint is open 11 am to 7 pm Tuesday through Saturday at 3634 Steamboat Island Road NW. Phone ahead at 360-866-2274.

Taqueria la Esquinita: The eatery at 430 Legion Way SE opens daily at 10 am for takeout. Phone ahead at 360-515-0136. Three Magnets Brewing Co.: The brewpub at 600 Franklin St SE has curbside pickup for beer, food and wine. The business is also planning to launch a meal delivery service. In an effort to protect staff and patrons, customers should order at https://gardenmovement.com/. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. daily.

Tugboat Annie’s: Will reopen Friday, May 15, for takeout. Phone ahead at 360-943-1630. Located at West Bay Marina, 2100 Westbay Drive, Olympia. Find menu, announcement and specials at https://tugboatannies.com/

Vic’s Pizzeria: The restaurant has reopened with a new structure. It is completely contactless. Orders must be placed and paid for over the phone prior to pick up. If you are ordering from Wildwood, you also have the option of placing your order through the website. Hours are noon to 9 pm through the makeshift pick-up window (a door with a table on the threshold). Delivery hours are only from 4 to 9 pm. Wagner’s Bakery and Café: The longtime and beloved German bakery has reopened, offering its usual donuts, maple bars, cinnamon rolls, Danish, cinnamon bread and sandwiches. Call 360-357-7268 to place your order for pick up or delivery. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and delivery is available 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Well 80: The brewpub at 514 Fourth Ave E, Olympia, offers grab and go, and has parking spots on Franklin Street for drive-up service. They are offering a limited menu, but customers can still get burgers, pizza, salads, fries and tater tots. Customers also can get 32 ounce cans of beer to go. Well 80 can be reached at 360-915-6653. The pub is open noon to 7 p.m. daily.

Yukio’s Teriyaki: Serving a full menu for take-out orders between 11 am and 8 pm Monday through Saturday. Call in orders at 360-923-0941, or use Doordash. Located at 3430 Pacific Ave SE, Olympia, in the Olympic Square Shopping Center near Albertson’s. Staff wears face masks and gloves and has installed an internal windshield for payment.
