Engagement: Johnson-Weinberg - Bjornstad
Caitlin Johnson-Weinberg and Trygve Bjornstad both of Olympia, announce their plans to wed on September 27, 2008 at the Sander’s Mansion in Auburn WA. The couple, once middle school sweethearts, began their engagement last winter while picking out their Christmas tree! Both are involved in the local community, they plan to begin their lives together here in Olympia at the home they share along with their two dogs Jimmy and Ted.

Anniversary: Thies 60th
Fritz and Verna (Prange) Thies were married June 21, 1948 in Verna’s home town of Cisco, Texas. The couple met at St. John’s College in Winfield, Kansas, where Verna was studying education and Fritz was attending on the GI Bill after serving as a Marine with the 1st Division in the South Pacific. He saw action at Cape Gloucester, Pelelie, Okinawa and finished his tour in China. After college Verna taught elementary school and Fritz worked as a safety engineer along the Gulf Coast.
